Root canal treatment is a dental procedure that removes inflamed or infected pulp tissue, followed by cleaning, disinfecting and sealing the root canals. Its aim is to eliminate the infection, relieve the pain and save the natural tooth whenever possible.
We work with hand and rotary instruments, which are used to make a precise opening in the tooth to reach the pulp chamber and the root canals. The inflamed and infected pulp tissue is removed. We clean the canals, shape them with endodontic instruments, disinfect them with special solutions and sterilise them with the laser. The laser light reaches areas that are hard to access, boosts the effect of the antiseptic and helps reduce the bacterial load. Treatment is done under local anaesthesia.
Root canal treatment takes one or more sessions.

Frequently asked questions
How much does it cost?
Treating one canal with rotary instruments costs 350 lei, and laser sterilisation costs 150 lei for a tooth with one canal and 250 lei for a tooth with several. A molar usually has 3 or 4 canals.
Does it hurt?
No, the treatment is done under local anaesthesia. The pain you had before usually goes away right after the first session.
Will the tooth stay sensitive?
For a few days it may be tender when you chew. If it has lost a lot of its structure, it needs a crown.
