A dental implant is an artificial titanium root placed in the bone, onto which a ceramic or zirconia crown is fixed. Unlike a bridge, it leaves the neighbouring teeth untouched, and unlike a removable denture, it does not move and is never taken out. You chew, speak and smile as before.
A missing tooth is not just a cosmetic problem. Where the tooth used to be, the bone shrinks, the neighbouring teeth tilt and the bite changes. That is why we recommend replacing it as early as possible, ideally within the first few months after the extraction.
Placing a dental implant calls for a personalised treatment plan and a technique adapted to each patient. The process starts with a consultation, imaging tests and an assessment of the bone volume.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a complete implant cost?
Implant placement costs 2,250 lei for implants from Israel or Korea and 3,400 lei for those from Germany, Switzerland or Italy. On top of this come the abutment (from 600 lei) and the crown (from 1,450 lei). You receive the full price in writing after the consultation.
Does it hurt?
The procedure is done under local anaesthesia, so it does not hurt. Thanks to the laser, swelling and discomfort afterwards are slight; most patients return to their usual activities the next day.
How long until I have my final tooth?
On average 3 months, the time the bone needs to integrate with the implant. If bone grafting is needed, it may take longer.
